Why should women rule the world? Well, according to my guest in this episode, it’s for the survival of our species. And she makes a pretty solid argument too.
Fabian Dattner is a leadership activist – and in her own words, she’s not messing around any more. Women fill between 9% and 17% of global leadership roles – and the world is burning. Since the beginning of time the game has been rigged in favour of men and if that doesn’t changed quickly, we’re all doomed.

Leadership by Gender
Although males still dominate leadership positions in every industry across the world, Fabian does not believe it’s time for men and women to lead in equal measure – she believes it’s time that the pendulum swung the other way.

Women make better leaders because…
A number of studies have reached a common conclusion – women are simply better leadership material than men.
Women are:
- more predisposed to collaboration
- by nature more inclusive
- they have more a attuned legacy mind set
- they can be better trusted with public and common assets

Homeward Bound
Last year Fabian led the first of what she hopes will be annual voyage of understanding and development.
76 female scientists travelled to Antarctica, learning leadership skills on the way.
